Upper Paper Guide for 1170 Printer

The upper paper guide is a ski assembly that installs before the printer and helps protect the print bar.

Postmark offers two configurations of this paper guide.

Glued Version (included with all SA1170’s as of May 1st 2021:

Spring Loaded Version (available to order):

As of May 1st, 2021, The glued version will be included with all SA1170’s.
The glued version must be used with the Postmark AP1170 with a bleed channel. The reason for this is that there is no belt under the printhead when a bleed channel is being used. The spring loaded paper guide will not work with the bleed channel as it will pinch substrates against the bleed channel and cause jams.

The spring loaded version can be used in other configurations where there is a continuous belt under the printhead. The spring loaded paper guide helps keep substrates compressed while being printed which can improve print quality. Spring loaded versions can be ordered separate from Postmark
